Superbowl day - Andrew.... I hope you go down on this one .... but it's a tall wish. What a great day - bumps, bumps, bumps and follow that with trees, trees, tress. Compress the arch - look for the bump sidewall. You guys are changing - I see it more than you see it in yourselves. The metamorphism of two skiers!...

February 4, 2012 - Afternoon

Now these are some cool pictures. Level 1 afternoon class - not a lot of time to get the turns going left and right. Josh, Kyle, Jeffrey, Par, Sonia, Suj - amazing success in 2 &1/2 hours - skiing down to the bottom from the Poma. Sorry about the ticket issue Josh, glad Product Sales stepped up and made things 'right'. Happy turns gang - stay safe and have fun!...

A good day indeed! Things just seemed to all start clicking - foot/arch pressure making sense. Skiing blacks (American, Peerless) and smiling all the way. Not sure who is more excited - Gary or myself!...

Gary in the morning (still no picture and Jan was even with us) - foot pressure and arch compression, limits of extension, railroad tracks.   Level 1 in afternoon: Lary (with one r), Amy and Jeff - skied down to bottom after 2 hours - well done....

These days are so great! I see the changes you might not see in yourselves. When something needs a re-direction I tell - when you take yourself out of the comfort zone and allow a change I offer congratulation. I am honest with all you ladies in praise and correction as I know you are honest with me in your desire to learn. This is such a good group, Thursdays are just the best!...

No picture (just kind of forgot to take a shot). Gary - core alignment, side slips, turns uphill, hands on hips, poles in front - North Star and Dukes. Terrific changes - could not be more emphatic!...

Level 8 doing what level 8's do ... steep, crud (we found some good stuff here) bumps ... and suppose I should add 'wind slab'. Wind reconfigured the mountain last night moving the snow around - loading up the bowls, scrubbing the exposed ridges, creating a variety of 'stuff' to play with. Tom, Celia, Michele, John, Dale - perfect size group to learn from each other and have a bunch of laughs. Good skiing to...

Level 8 - solid level 8 - all mountain, steeps, Rustler bumps, off piste, chair 6 and Tbar, crud ... you name it we did it. Celia, Tom, Lilly, Mike, Stacy, Steve, Michelle. Foot pressure distribution, alignment, core position, tactics in every turn (groomed, bumps, off piste, steeps), using the 'sidewall', targeting for the apex in every trun. Lots of fun and progress today, thank you....

Eight inches this morning, probably two more during the day. Jeff, Tom, Paul, Pam - level 8 - there was some good skiing to be had today. Off piste, powder, bumps. Not a lot of technique - a little but hopefully just enough to create some thought and have something to play with. Sometimes it takes a year or two to change one little issue - and even longer to get rid of one little...

BABES! And then there were bumps ... they seem to be calling our names. Our third week, the foundations of stance, balance, alignment and fundamental skills now beginning to solidify - time has arrived to begin putting core values to work ... and the work being bumps, offf piste, steeper terrain. It was a good day - and the chocolate for lunch the 'icing on the cake'....
