Report 1. Today should be Thanksgiving. I am thankful I am able to watch the sunrise across the Ten Mile Range. I am thankful that I have a nice warm home, because my outside temp reads, "-12F" @ 7am. Breck is reporting 1" yesterday. I will head out about 8:30am to verify. Current year reported snowfall is 74", and 36" base at the top. We are setting up for a good year.

Report 2. Got to the hill at 10. About 8*. Spoke with a patroller. Evidently we had a temperature inversion. -5 at the top patrol shack, and -12 in town. Skiing was very good. I can't remember November skiing this good. The front side groomers were very nice. Quiet snow. Peerless bumps were soft. Inferno on E-lift was EXCELLENT. Nothing but the tops of a few pine trees to hit. The creek at the bottom of the runs is flowing so be alert to that. E-Lift and Peak 8 access is currently closed. However, Peak 10 is open and looked good.

And today was so cold, even the wind didn't come out. It was quite a nice day to ski Breck. Wear a neck gator, a few extra layers and no problem. Lift lines were minimal, and the skiing was fun. Get on up here!

NEGATIVE 12 degrees! That's cold!! Will the snow be slow this morning because it's so cold? Are you going out to slide today?
